Rotten Brothers' Pub & Grill

Nick & Nadine Polashek own and operate The Rotten Brothers Pub & Grill located in the heart of scenic downtown Clifton. The building and bar itself has a rich history dating back to the 1860’s when it was a stage coach stop for weary travelers making their way across the rugged Wisconsin terrain. Visitors were often greeted with a cold beverage and a warm welcome to rest a spell and enjoy rich conversation and great hospitality. That tradition continues today for travelers and locals alike.

The building was extensively remodeled in 2002 by Nick and his brother John who transformed the old stagecoach stop into a modern pub and eatery. The renovation process took over three and a half years working mostly weekends. With the help of many friends the Rotten Brothers finally opened! John and Nick ran the Rotten Brothers until John passed away unexpectedly in 2006.

A true Wisconsin family run business, the great food has become legendary, creating a 21st century “stagecoach” stop as people travel with friends to enjoy the unique Rotten Brothers atmosphere. Many quaint activities dot the Clifton Calendar as annual events such as soup night, the Clifton Tractor Pull, Sportsmen Hunts, and more.

The Rotten Brothers Pub & Grill also sports a 24 x 50 outdoor pavilion complete with a full bar, fire ring, horseshoe pits, and spectacular scenery. The pavilion is the perfect place for that special gathering including weddings, anniversaries, parties, and family reunions. The Clifton Town Park is just a short walk away.

We look forward to your next visit!
